My practice is devoted to assessing children and adults who have concerns about learning, attention, mood, or behavior. I provide individualized and flexible evaluations and do not use a fixed battery of tests. The number and type of tests used and the number and length of testing sessions vary according to referral questions, client characteristics (e.g., age, attention span, activity level), and specific documentation requirements by schools, employers, or testing services.  The following are the most common services:

Comprehensive psycho-educational assessments to determine learning profiles of children and adults struggling with academic, cognitive, memory, behavioral, or attention skills.

Developmental assessments to evaluate the social behavioral, thinking, and other “readiness” skills and preschool and kindergarten children.

Psycho-social assessments of mood, behavior, and social development.

Consultation about a wide range of issues, including school placement, interpretation of previous test results, treatment and intervention, and adult ADHD.

Typical client concerns include problems in one or more of the following areas:

  • Reading, language, or writing
  • Comprehension
  • Math
  • Memory
  • Behavior or mood
  • Attention
  • Organizational skills
  • Development and “readiness”
  • Keeping up with assignments and homework
  • Appropriate school placement or programming
  • Performance on standardized tests such as the ACT/SAT, professional licensure exams, GRE, MCAT, and LSAT
